Travel study in 2013

The massive Worms cathedral, in the city where Martin Luther defied the Imperial parliament, was outlawed, and risked his life for the cause of the Reformation.

I’ve just created a page on my WordPress blog about travel study in 2013.

Here’s what I have in mind so far:

Fly to Paris, with three or four days to tour the city, visit the Louvre Museum and the Notre Dame Catherdral, and make day trips to Versailles and perhaps Rheims or Amiens, where one of the other big gothic cathedrals sits.

Travel to Guédelon Castle and participate in its construction, medieval-style!

Travel into Germany, perhaps to the Rhine region for a castle tour, or maybe Lake Constance for a tour of the Meersburg fortress. Move on to Munich, for day trips to the castles of Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau, Linderhof, and Herrenchiemsee.

I’ll post more in the coming weeks, as I start to piece together an itinerary. Let me know if you’re interested: e-mail me at kjantzen@ambrose.edu.
